On 28 June 2024, Pugwash held an online event to welcome the new Pugwash President, Dr. Hussain Al-Shahristani, and express gratitude to former President Amb. Sergio Duarte. The Chair of the Pugwash Council, Dr. Karen Hallberg, moderated the event.
