The Rio de Janeiro International Uranium Film Festival 2021 has awarded Sergio Duarte, President of the Pugwash Conferences on Science and World Affairs, with the festival’s Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award. In receiving the award, Ambassador Duarte gave a talk on the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. The 10th Rio de Janeiro International Uranium Film Festival streamed online in May 2021, with 34 films on nuclear weapons and nuclear energy during 10 days. The first edition took place in Rio de Janeiro and others have been held in Berlin, Washington and New Delhi, among other locations worldwide.
