On 5 August 2014 Pugwash convened a consultation in London to explore options for a lasting solution to the Gaza war, one which will promote sustainable security for all sides. The participants discussed options for opening Gaza for trade and free movement of people, prospects for inter-Palestinian reconciliation, the unity government, and the future of a two-state solution, and what the international community can do on these issues.
