Pugwash held a series of consultations on regional security and nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction in the Middle East over the preceding 18 months. As states move closer to concretizing plans for a proposed conference on a Middle Eastern WMD Free Zone, some questions and points raised in these meetings might prove useful.
