On 17 November 2008 Pugwash and the Danish Pugwash Group co-organized a day-long symposium “Strengthening the Nuclear Non-
Proliferation Treaty and the International Atomic Energy Agency” in the Cristiansborg Palace, Copenhagen.
Other institutions co-sponsoring the event were Danske Laeger Mod Kernevaben (Danish Branch, International Physicians Against Nuclear War); Mandela Centre; SGI Denmark; Danish Peace Academy; International Network of Engineers and Scientists for Global Responsibility, Danish Institute for International Studies.
