Jan Hoekema is a former MP and Mayor in the Netherlands. Prior to that he was a civil servant in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (1977-94), including positions responsible for arms control, export controls, as well as nuclear, chemical and biological weapons issues. He is chair of Pugwash Netherlands.
