Between 29 April and 10 May 2014 Pugwash Secretary General Paolo Cotta-Ramusino and Executive Director Sandra Butcher held a wide range of meetings in the USA. Cotta-Ramusino held a series of meetings on a range of topics in Washington, D.C. with current high-ranking officials and other experts. Cotta-Ramusino and Butcher joined other Pugwashites and Student Pugwashites for a series of meetings with current and former officials, NGO leaders, and funders in New York during the NPT PrepCom (see also information about the Pugwash 3 May consultation on WMD in the MIddle East and Non-Proliferation). Cotta-Ramusino also participated with Steve Miller, chair of the Pugwash Executive Committee, in a 7 May lunch panel and discussion on the Iranian Nuclear issue at the American Academy of Arts and Science.
